Cloud Developer Academy combines new work and expert training into one package in a convenient way. In addition to the job you're aiming for, you’ll also invest in your own expertise in the long run and boost your skills on topics that are very sought after in the IT industry.

The main goal of the Academy is to employ you with a partnering company at the end of a 6-month program. During the six-month period, you will also get to know the work community and final work assignments in advance, so you’ll have all the right tools to succeed in your future role.

You can apply to the recruiting training program if you are currently unemployed or facing the prospect of unemployment, and your job search is active at Labor Exchange (TE-palvelut). The program is conducted in close cooperation with Saranen, TE-palvelut, ELY-keskus, Ohjelmisto- ja e-business ry and the partnering companies.

The program is free of charge for participants.

Get the most up-to-date training from software experts.

During the program, you’ll receive quality training from industry leaders and increase your skills that will be beneficial to you now and in the future. The best part of the training is that you’ll get the chance to take all your new skills and traits conveniently into practice in your new role. The Academy will consist of total of 28 training days.

The program will be organized in English, so sufficient language skills are required from all participants. Finnish language skill is not mandatory, but day-to-day conversation skills in Finnish can be seen as an advantage.

Open positions

There are several open positions at different levels, and the final job duties can be customized according to your background and interests as far as possible.

Positions can be found, for example:

  • In software development tasks: Are you interested, for example in frontend, backend or web development? Get the code running and take your skills to a new level at the same time!
  • In cloud technologies: Do you want to dive into cloud technologies? Azure and AWS are for example valid keywords.
  • In IT projects: Are you interested in working with different teams? Combine development and IT projects - opportunities for example with DevOps.

1. Fill out the TE-palvelut application

You can apply for the Cloud Developer Academy recruiting training program if you are unemployed or at risk of unemployment. Also, make sure that your job search in TE-Palvelut is valid.

Pre-selection for the training is made on the basis of the information from the TE-palvelut application, so be sure to justify your application carefully. Education number: 708912

2. Fill out your skills profile to Saranen

Please fill out your professional skills profile to Saranen. This profile will be your calling card for recruiting companies. 

Make sure you fill both applications carefully! We’ll start interviewing the potential candidates already during the application period – so apply quickly!

Program info and schedule

Duration of the program: 6 months

Application period: 1.9.-3.10.2022

Program schedule: 7.11.2022 - 8.5.2023 (holiday break 27.12.2022 - 2.1.2023)

During the training, you will be part of one of the partnering company's development team participating in day-to-day work. In addition to learning on-the-job, you will participate in 28 days of comprehensive, expert-led trainings tailored to help you succeed in your new role. Choosing for recruitment training program requires that we find a suitable partnering company for you. The training is carried out in close co-operation with the ELY-keskus Pirkanmaa (Pirkanmaa Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment) and TE-palvelut (Labor Exchange), Ohjelmisto ja e-business ry, partnering companies, and Saranen.

A jobseeker participating in the training is paid for the period of the training with the unemployment benefit to which he/she is entitled when unemployed, as well as an expense allowance.
