Who can apply?

You can be a future expert starting your career, a recent graduate who has already gained experience in the field, a career changer considering new opportunities, or a future expert pursuing a profession from a hobby, for example. The recruitment training program is targeted for unemployed jobseekers, or people facing the prospect of unemployment. The program will be organized in English, so sufficient language skills are required from all participants.

Program duration

The duration of the program is 6 months (14.11.2023 - 16.5.2024).

Implementation

The training is organized as a remote implementation. The educational language of the program is English. About 30% of the entire program is expert training and 70% is active on-the-job learning.

Content of the training

The training content is built together with partner companies. Preliminary plan of the content:

• Overview of Modern Web Application Development
• ECMAScript Essentials and version control (git)
• Change and resilience in working life
• Frontend Development with React + UI/UX Design
• Interaction training: From expert to consultant, working with customers
• Good programming practices and software testing + secure software development
• Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET, SQL Server)
• Data bases, SQL languages
• System integrations
• Java programming
• Cloud services: Azure, AWS
• Managing your own career, employment and salary negotiations

Application process

From Saranen, you get individual support from the beginning of the recruitment process in the form of sparring, guidance and coaching.

1. After TE-service's application processing and pre-selection, we will invite you to interview with us.

2. Once we have gotten to know you in more detail, we will start advancing your application process.

3. We offer and arrange times for pre-interviews. After the selections, we conclude a training contract between you and the company for the duration of the program. The goal of the training is to employ you in a cooperative company for a permanent employment relationship at the end of the program.

Employment

The purpose of the training is to employ you in a cooperative company through the program. This can happen at the end of the program, or even during the program. On average, more than 80% of the participants are recruited into a new role at the end of the training program.

Boost your career and level up your code

Before the Developer Academy recruitment training program, you can level up your code in a free 5-day Developer Kickstart sparring period (12.-18.10.).

IT industry is packed with different opportunities and so is Developer Kickstart – the period fits well for recent graduates, career changers, programmer hobbyists and people with more experience from the IT and software industry.  

During the Developer Kickstart, you’ll be able to pick up new skills and knowledge in a wide range of themes led by top trainers. Kickstart period increases your understanding of the industry's modern working practices, working methods, opportunities and tasks, and helps you to find your own role in software industry. During the Kickstart week, you'll also learn to identify and articulate your own skills and you'll get lots of tips for building a career in software.

After the Kickstart period, you have a good chance to grab your place in the starting Academy recruitment training.

The training is aimed for people who are unemployed or at the risk of unemployment.
